Sportswomen Miesha Tate

Miesha Theresa Tate ( born August 18, 1986) is an American professional mixed martial artist. She competes in Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) as well as being a former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. Tate was previously a competitor for Strikeforce, in which she is a past Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion. Tate was vice president for ONE Championship. In October, 2022, she is 10th in the UFC women's bantamweight rankings.



 



 Childhood and early life



 Tate was born in the Seattle suburb Tacoma, Washington, to Michelle Tate, and was raised by Michelle and her husband Robert Schmidt. When she was a young girl Tate often played with the boys in her neighborhood on the playgrounds.
